2020 Youth Sailing Summer Camp

Great News!  Sausalito Yacht Club Youth Sailing is starting to look into the possibility of running a Summer Camp Program.  Due to Marin County Opening Guidelines our program will look different than in past summers.

We have started working through these new requirements and our own staffing logistics to determine if a program is feasible. Parents and families should consider the following changes before considering joining us this summer.

Campers will be required to register for 3 full weeks of camp.

There will be 2 sessions offered each with two groups of 10 sailors.

    *Dates TBD

Classes will run between 9am-3:30pm with staggered start and end time.

Beginning level sailing will NOT be offered this summer.  If county health requirements change we may consider running one class later in the summer.

We will only be accepting sailors ages 10-18 with prior sailing experience.

Family members must be in the same class.

We are still deciding on allowing double handed sailing.  So there is a chance of single handed sailing only.

Each participant will be required to bring all their own gear.  There will be no lending out of wetsuits or lifejackets.

Registration adjustments:

All current registrations will be canceled and refunded.

A new registration will open for MEMBERS ONLY first.

Registration will open to the public two days later.

On a first come first serve basis.

If classes are full you will be put on the waitlist.

Thank you for your patience while we figure out how best to serve our youth sailing community.  We are hopeful we can get kids out on the water this summer.
