Instructor Bios

Sail Training Manager:

 

CHRISTINE BLETZER

Christine moved to the bay area from the east coast in May of 2010.  She grew up racing dinghies in New England, and sailed both A and B division for the University of Vermont Sailing Team from 2005-2009.  Before joining us at Sausalito Yacht Club she was the Optimist Race Coach at Nantucket Yacht Club for four summers.  She has competed in multiple US National Team Racing Championships as well as a British National Team Race Championship.

 

 

Head Coach:

ANDREW FRANKLIN

Andrew moved to the bay area from Washington, D.C. in February of 2012.  He grew up racing lasers and 420′s out of Chicago Yacht Club in Chicago, Illinois and sailed for four years in college at the University of Vermont.  Before he began coaching at SYC he taught at several other places like Larchmont Yacht Club in New York and Lake Forrest Sailing in Illinois.
