New Smoking Policy at SYC

On June 21, the SYC Board approved a change to the House Rules and Regulations regarding smoking on club property.
Effective immediately, smoking is allowed outside only in designated areas. New club signage will specify the areas where smoking is allowed.
The changed rule reads as follows:
VIII. SMOKING- Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Clubhouse, at any time, including during rentals or other periods when the facility is not normally open to members. Smoking is permitted outside on the decks only in designated areas. In addition, the Club will observe all applicable state, federal and local ordinances.
