Want more?  There has been a lot of interest in some of the day-sails and the Lighted Boat Parade in December. The Cruise program needs a couple of hearty souls with good organizational skills to volunteer as Cruise Captain for one of these events. This is another opportunity to get involved (the Cruise Chair and  prior Cruise Captains will help so it isn’t a huge commitment).

SYC Cruise Program in 2012
The objective of the Cruise Program at SYC is to develop new friendships with fellow Members while enjoying the waters of the Bay, Delta and Coastal areas.
The 2012 schedule is diverse and designed to include ALL MEMBERS. Whether your mode of transport is by sail, power or land or a combination, there will be cruises you will enjoy.

Each month there will be at least one cruise. There are local cruises to Angel Island, Sausalito, Tiburon and San Francisco.  There are longer distance cruises to the Delta, Petaluma, Half Moon Bay & Benicia. There are cruises with a race included for sailors and we are planning to add a few more races to the Cruise plan.

Sign up for one or for all!!  Get involved, meet your fellow Club Members and SYC Boat owners, use your Club reciprocal privileges and discover new locations.  You will experience one of the most exciting and fun aspects of having your boat on San Francisco Bay and belonging to a yacht club with an active Cruise Program.

How to Register for Cruises

Beginning in 2012 we will use a new cruise registration program on this website. To register for cruises, select Register for Cruises from the Cruise menu. You can see which cruises are scheduled on the Cruising Calendar.  Don’t worry if the cruise you are interested in isn’t “open” yet, no one will get in ahead of you – we can’t open a cruise for registration until we have the dates confirmed!

If the price for the cruise has not yet been determined,  the Price will display as $1.00.  You can still register, and you will receive an email as soon as the cost has been determined.

Note: You can return to your registration later and update or cancel your registration prior to the cruise’s cancellation date or deadline. If you have cruise registration problems, contact your Cruise Captain or the Cruise Chair who will assist you in registration.

Once registered, you will receive an acknowledgement from either the Cruise Chair or the Cruise Captain and your name will be added to the list of people planning to participate. More importantly, you will be included on an email list that will be used to send you updates and more detailed information on the cruise. If you don’t receive an acknowledgment for your registration within a few days please email the Cruise Chair!

All alcohol ordered at the table during dinner must be paid for that night by each table and will not be added to any SYC master bill.
